Even though the tournament will be played in April and May 2017, the real action begins at the IPL players auction itself. It gives teams the chance to pick the players according to their needs, re-align their strategies and have their core sorted.
The IPL 2017 auction, scheduled to be held on 4th February 2017 in Bengaluru, will be the final edition under the existing 10-year contract. The venue is yet to be decided.
The auction will start at around 9 am IST.
